Background of the Study
Employee recognition programs are initiatives designed by organizations to acknowledge and reward employees for their hard work, achievements, and contributions. These programs are integral to fostering organizational commitment, as they help employees feel valued and motivated. Organizational commitment refers to the psychological attachment an employee has to their organization, influencing their level of engagement, performance, and retention. In Jema’a Local Government Area (LGA) of Kaduna State, many businesses are adopting employee recognition programs as a strategy to enhance employee satisfaction and commitment. However, the direct impact of these programs on organizational commitment within the region is underexplored. This study will examine how employee recognition programs influence organizational commitment in the context of corporate communication.
